New Year, Better Me!

HAPPY NEW YEAR THRIVE TRIBE!

2020 is here! I'm so excited for what God has in store for me this year. 2019 literally broke me down to the lowest level I've ever been. I feel like 2020 is a year of prosperity and restoration for myself. 

One phrase I really hate when folks talk about a new year is "New Year, New Me." It makes me cringe hearing that! I feel like instead of trying to be a whole NEW you, you should just try to be BETTER you. Don't completely erase the old you. The old you has taught you lessons, the old you has survived numerous struggles, the old you has molded you into the person you are today. Don't disregard them! 

I much rather prefer to say "New Year, Better Me" because the old Ciera' wasn't all that bad! The old Ciera was a soldier, she was resilient, she was amazing!! She just had some bad habits and made some dumb ass decisions. 2020 is dedicated to me becoming a BETTER me, not a NEW me, because I love the old me! I just need to make some improvements.

Focus on being a better you instead of trying to create a whole NEW you.
